You Know This - Missing Camera

So, I went to visit Kim and Liz at EK the other day, accidentally left my camera, and this is what happened...

Super awkward pose of Matty sitting on Kim's lap

Some creapy alien baby

Liz, picking her nose

Mama Jo's scar from breaking her ankle

The worst picture I have ever seen of my beautiful Jody

Note to self: never leave Kim and Liz alone with my camera again!

You Know This - Best Dinner Ever

You Know This - Wicked Fire

We are on fire! There are multiple fires all around the South Orange County area and it looks like we are in the middle of a war! Here are some pictures that I took today...

Here are a few things you can pray for...
- The families and homes that are in direct danger
- The firemen - their saftey and strength
- A speedy defeat of the fires
- Sanity for all residents and businesses in this area (it's not fun to breathe this air all day long!)

You Know This - Existence

This is my friend Shaun, the High School pastor here at Saddleback. Recently they decided to make a video for each week during the 40 Days of Purpose campaign.

This first video is on Existence and how Romans 1:20 talks about how creation shouts out to the Lord. If His creation is glorifying the Lord and physically expressing the existence of God, why don't we?

Check out this video...

You Know This - Fake Rick

So, there is a blogger out there who goes by the name of Fake Rick who created a blog as if he/she were Rick Warren (my main-boss-man). I do not approve of his/her blog subjects by any means, but there is definitely some talent to be found here. I wish he/she didn't hate my place of employment...otherwise I would want to be his/her friend! Check out this beautiful work of art...

Now, to add a dose of super-funny, that is my direct boss superimposed onto Pam Beasley's body! Amazing! Way to mix my two favorite things...My Church and The Office!

You Know This - Daddy-O

You think your dad's bigger than my dad? Oh yeah? Well, my dad has sold over 10,000 pies this month! Beat that!!!

You Know This - David Huddleston

Hey Guys,
A kid from my High School Ministry days back at the Grove has been in a bad car accident and needs your prayers. Here's David's story...

As most of you know David is proudly serving in the United States Air Force. He has been stationed at Incirlik Airforce Base in Adana, Turkey. While traveling to a town called Antalya, David and three others were involved in a car accident. They were traveling on a windy mountain road when their car hit some loose gravel and began to swerve into the other lane. While trying to correct, the car spun 180 degrees and hit a tree. The car then rolled down a hillside and stopped when it collided with another tree. David was knocked unconscious and his friends took care of him until the ambulance arrived. David suffered brain swelling and was taken to the local hospital where he was put on a ventilator. He has since been transferred to Landstuhl Medical Hospital in Germany (military hospital).

Please be praying for David's recovery as well as for his family to maintain hope and trust in God.

Also, my dear friend Kelli has been spending a lot of time with him and has taken this situation incredibly hard. Please pray that she will be strong and will be able to turn to God and rely on Him for her continued strength.

David's family has set up a blog to keep us updated. If you are interested in reading more about his story, click here.

In the meantime, I love you all! Please take good care of yourselves!!!

You Know This - Allison + Disneyland

I love my friend Allison Murray! If you don't know her, you should. Today I spent the whole day with her at Disneyland and there was never a dull moment. Here are five things about Allison Murray at Disneyland that make me laugh...
- Her nervous laughter right before a scary ride
- Her willingness to snack throughout the entire day with me
- Her ability to find the most ridiculous looking people at the park
- Her enthusiasm for a good ride
- Her love of getting in the background of other people's pictures

You Know This - Scary Public Bathrooms

I just got back from the bathroom at work where I remembered another irrational fear. When I go into public bathrooms with more than one seat, I don't like to go into a stall if there is someone in the stall next to it.

But I also hate using the handicap stall because I feel guilty for that 2 minutes of usage.

So, as I sat down on the handicap toilet feeling bad about my occupancy, I thought about where this fear came from. And then I remembered a movie that I saw as a young girl called Copycat. I won't tell you too much about the movie because it is pretty scary, but lets just say that it involves a killer, a toilet, and a long rope...so scary!

You Know This - Surely We Can Change

David Crowder has outdone himself again. His new album "Remedy" is pretty good music wise, but the lyrics are what really sold me. The last song on the album, Surely We Can Change is so powerful. It really makes you think about our purpose on this earth - to love and care for each other. This is who we should strive to be. And if nothing else, these words should become our prayer. Check it out...

And the problem is this
We were bought with a kiss
But the cheek still turned
Even when it wasn’t hit

And I don’t know
What to do with a love like that
And I don’t know
How to be a love like that

When all the love in the world
Is right here among us
And hatred too
And so we must choose
What our hands will do

Where there is pain
Let there be grace
Where there is suffering
Bring serenity
For those afraid
Help them be brave
Where there is misery
Bring expectancy
And surely we can change
Surely we can change
Something

And the problem it seems
Is with you and me
Not the Love who came
To repair everything

Where there is pain
Let us bring grace
Where there is suffering
Bring serenity
For those afraid
Let us be brave
Where there is misery
Let us bring them relief
And surely we can change
Surely we can change
Oh surely we can change
Something

Oh, the world’s about to change
The whole world’s about to change
